The Keno Project is now defunct. This page is online for archival and reference purposes only.
The Keno Project is a US-based educational organization that uses cultural exchange as an impetus for improving conditions in developing communities. We operate our service learning programs using an innovative not-for-profit model to fund development projects in our partner communities. The Keno Project is now accepting applications for our summer 2012 service learning program hosted in Govinakrom, Ghana. Students will live in the host community and study the cultural beliefs and values embedded in traditional African dance and music. The program culminates with individual service projects students design with the help of our instructors. Our goal is for students to complete the program with increased global awareness, commitment to personal growth, sense of responsibility to community, and the skills to work and live cooperatively in a diverse society.
